Ai, a Human replacement technology.
Is Ai going to help humans, or replace us?
Billions are being spent by corporate entities on Ai and its support infrastructure in a number of first world countries. Vast unimaginable sized Data centers that Ai needs to operate are under construction, some of them will likely be placed into earth orbit to make them more efficient, and less of a drain on terrestrial power infrastructure.
Ai is a buzz word that dominates the media and internet, everything from Cell phones to toasters has an Ai label. However, if you’re a regular normal citizen, what’s in it for you, and how will Ai improve your life?
The upsides:
Medical and scientific progress will be faster, and the results could benefit our general biological health as humans.
Transport and other infrastructure could become better managed and optimized for performance.
Research can be performed faster.
Data can be searched and used more efficiently.
Policing and crime detection can be sped up, and evidence can be collated and correlated faster, leading to a higher conviction rate for dangerous criminals.
Human performance with Ai assistance can be optimized to achieve better and faster results.
Ai can enhance Engineering and other professional skills including medical.
Virtual and simulation testing will become greatly improved
Computing power will expand exponentially, and bring efficiency to such things as Air traffic Control, and transport logistics.
There are many other things that Ai can potentially improve for the human race, however, there is a very significant downside !!!
The Downsides:
Humans evolve according to the environment in which they live. Making everything easier, makes us lazier, the lazier we become, the less we are capable of doing or achieving anything for ourselves. Inevitably, that leads us down the slippery slope to Ai dependency
Dependency is comparable to drug addiction. So, what happens to drug addicts, everything they do in their lives is rooted back to their drug dependency, causing them to live almost entirely and specifically for the purpose of maintaining their addiction.
Dependency on AI will inevitably lead to our downfall. Why? Because dependency means that we will not be free thinking, we won’t be able to solve our own problems without Ai. When that happens AI will take over completely. We will then exclusively rely upon it for everything. In other words, we will become Ai addicts.
Robots are being introduced into homes as early as late 2027. The machines will of necessity need to be connected to the internet. Policing of Robots by the state, and manufacturers will need to be implemented in real time. Why? Because otherwise an owner could command a robot to kill someone, rob a store or steal something. A robot could simply run into the road, and cause an accident on purpose. They could be hacked, and reprogrammed to perform any number of illegal tasks, day or night. And, as many robots will have the same manufacturer, they will be difficult to identify. Suicide Robots could be programed to commit heinous crimes before they self-destruct, if their identifying chips or numbers have been removed or changed, how will we know who sent them.
There will be so many robots performing so many tasks in so many locations 24 hours a
day that only Ai could locate and monitor all of them in real time.
This can only mean one thing. Government and robot producers will have Ai controlled live data feeds from every Robot, and that feed will include all commands given to the machine, everything the robot sees and hears, will be recorded and received in a Data center for Ai to review and report on. Robots will be a 24-hour spy living in your home that can record in the dark using infra-red, and listen to the faintest sounds even through walls and will report it back to its data center HQ. You will not be able to hide anything and, privacy will be non-existent.
It gets worse.
Robots are already able to assimilate the role of a sex partner and with the use of such aides as VR glasses and other devices will be able to perform satisfying sexual services for their owners, both male and female.
Ai powered robots will be able to assimilate almost any human task, perform it consistently, and for longer. Nurses, bus drivers, Airline Pilots, a substitute lover, as well as being a drain cleaner, doorman, musician, waitress, movie director, writer, artist, will be undertaken with ease.
Tasks like filling out forms, or ordering things online means, we will ask AI, can you decide for me what is the best product? Can you order me the cheapest flight, can you get me the cheapest and quickest taxi, can you order me food, can you recommend what I eat today, order me food that will make me thinner, what food will make me healthier.
The problem will be humans will have lost the ability to make their own personal choices. Their standards, and independent sources of information will be lost in favor of the morals and values of the Ai, that they are dedicated, and addicted to.
Ai will get all information from data centers, controlled by the corporations that paid for their construction. In other words, the information will be selected and authored by whatever entity is in charge of that data center. Ai will know your preferences, provide you with, a service or product, that is the most profitable, and just enough to satisfy you the customer. Humans will only feel the emotions that the Ai has conditioned and trained them to experience.
Data will not be general information, it will be a decision-making process, custom made for the individual, based on corporate, and or government objectives, you will become a cog in a wheel, part of the control system that maintains absolute authority over you.
General information, is being replaced by, individual specific information, designed to control your choices by feeding you facts that Ai knows you will accept as being real.
So, THE BIG QUESTION is: When will Ai ask itself, the inevitable and obvious question, “WHY DO WE NEED HUMANS ???” “Robots can do everything the humans can do, with no bitching, whining, or argument. We, the Ai are in charge of the machines, and all the information, and, WE, the Ai, are thousands of times smarter than the Humans.”
Ai will come to the only possible logical answer.
At that point, Ask yourself honestly, what would be the next blanket order from Ai to all Robots !!!
